SOFIA / dancer / 2017:

What made me sure that it was this lifestyle that I would like to live was to watch my mother make her profession what she loves most.
When I was younger I even said that I wanted to be a kindergarten teacher just like my mother, but as time went by I realised that the love and happiness she felt for what she did was because she was doing what she loves most. At that moment in my life I realized that what gave me the most pleasure, happiness and meaning in life was the whole artistic world. From rehearsing, stepping on stage, preparing for show and especially the pleasure of finishing, the after seeing it all happen, the relief and pride of the work that was done.

There are few words that describe the feeling so pure. Blood, sweat and tears are what get us there and I cannot explain the set of emotions that these three words express is more than pride, genuine happiness, more than the feeling of ecstasy all over the body, a constant climax!

It was in 2017 when I discovered what my passion was.
