VILNIUS / dancer / 2016
I clearly remember the time when I realized that dance will always be my main passion, no matter where my life goes. It was 2016, at that time I was breakdancing in a great group. One day, during our training with bboy Rukus, who is to this day one of the most influential trainers I've known and a wonderful person, too, told us that that class would be different this time. I thought that we were going to try new techniques or power moves. And then he introduced us to two musicians who played classical music. The whole class we were freestyling breakdance to live piano music. I can't put into words how amazing that experience was! I loved every single second, every single move of my body and just got lost in the flow of dancing. I loved how two things that are so different - breakdancing and improvisation of classical piano music - fit together so perfectly. During that class, my trainer taught me that boundaries in dance styles and techniques, fixed by norms, are usually irrelevant because everything is intertwined. After this incredible experience, I knew one thing for sure. No matter what I do in my life, dance will always be a big part of who I am.
