TÀRREGA / stage designer /
1. Why did you decide to work in the cultural sector?
It is now, seen in perspective, that I realize that much of my personal and professional life has been linked to the world of the performing arts. At first it was not a premeditated idea.
2. Are there any specific situations or events that you remember that made you decide?
There is no specific event, but I have always been interested in the visual part, the aesthetics, ...
3. And what is special about this type of work?
The concern, the interest, the anxiety I have about how much there is a new story to tell, be it realistic, conceptual ... is, find out, look for and work on aesthetics, the space where you have to spend this new story. I like to think with light, architecture, colors, functionality of the elements involved. That is, all, all the elements involved make sense, even if we want them to make no sense. I always like to suggest rather than capture.
4. Is there also something like a passion or moments in your work that are very special to you and that you would not want to miss?
I like this work because it is creative and shared with the whole team, be it the art team or the production team. It is essential that all of us involved in a new project know what we are working on. As a participant in the artistic team, we need to know how far we can go and what proportion the project should have. The participants of the production team must have the most tangible vision of reality but with a broad look and skill to help go a little further with the artistic part. Keep in mind that art is created and you always want to go a little further and most of the time you take risks.
