VARAZDIN / dancer / 2016
I´ve been dancing since I was five, and have always had that dream in my mind but have been told othervise through the years, to invest my self in a stable job, not a "hobby". Despite of that i have worked hard and explored various areas of dance. The one that clicked with me on a deep level was "hip hop theater". I remember vividly clutching to the end of my seat while watching a performance at the 2016. Streetforma festival directed by Boy Blue (UK), and danced by dancers i admired. It was powerful, it had a message but it was groovy, authentic and street. "Thats what i want to do.", i said to myself. I dont only want to move and to be paid for it. I want to inspire others through my movement, be surrounded by people that share my passion for art, and to tell stories that matter through the culture that inspired me and saved me at one point. That was the first moment, but i continue to have more of those reminding me again, and again as I continue to teach and grow. Hopefully the future holds more of it.
