GIRONA / dancer / 2015
I’ve danced since I was 6 years old. But when I was 14-15, when I discovered the Krump and the hip hop, I really wanted to improve and move out of home to study and dance ( which it didn’t happened echase of my family).
At the same time I was a tennis player at that moment, and with 17, I went to a tennis camp to train and work in NYC where I found out that even training in a professional way it couldn’t get me the energy out of dancing. So I had the opportunity to go to some classes in the studios of Manhattan and I definitely figured out that I needed to dance.
And so with 18 when I moved to Madrid starting my studies of fine arts, in a night show with some friends while we were talking about dance, a woman seated next to me, ask me if I was a dancer, which I answer that I was trying to find some places to restart some training. And so she propose me to go to her dance school. which is a very well known contemporary school in Spain (Danza 180°), to start my studies in January. So I did the “audition” and they let me start in the middle of the year.
So at that moment, my parents weren’t agree with all the dance world but In a family gathering in Madrid I told them my final decision that I will do it whatever they will told me. And they just let me decide by myself.
I think if the destiny put me this situation in my life it was for a reason. So that was my big beginning of everything.
